Activation Process
Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to set up a payment terminal to operate a charging station in EV24.
Device Purchase
The payment terminal must meet specific requirements, both in terms of PCI DSS payment security, as well as durability and waterproofing standards. The supported model in EV24 is the Payter Apollo. Ordering a payment terminal is done via the Orders section in the portal.
Merchant Account
Payment processing on the terminal is handled by the payment service provider ELAVON, which manages terminals for EV24. A contract with ELAVON must be signed in order to create a merchant account.
Terminal Activation
The Payter Apollo payment terminal requires activation with the manufacturer. To activate the payment terminal with the manufacturer, a merchant account and a Merchant ID (MID) with the specified payment provider are required.
A merchant account with the terminal manufacturer is required to activate the terminal.
Configuration
The payment terminal needs to be configured in the EV24 service. You must have the merchant account MID and the device must be activated with the manufacturer.
To process payments on the payment terminal, the terminal must be activated with the manufacturer, activated in the EV24 service, and an active merchant account with the payment provider must be available.
